Marketplace Rules

Product: CueVanta (cuevanta.com and related free-tier services)

Effective (proposed): 2026-09-18

Status: Effective 2026-09-18; free tier; CueVanta only.

Scope: CueVanta.

Operator: CueVanta, LLC — Colorado limited liability company; jurisdiction Colorado, United States. CueVanta, LLC operates CueVanta.

Public contact: legal@cuevanta.com · support@cuevanta.com

Commercial model: Free. No payments, subscriptions, commissions, or paid usage tiers described here.

Non-human publication: Automated validate/scan/sandbox/test → auto-approve or auto-reject/quarantine; fail closed. Owner reserved: policies, prohibited categories, emergency shutdown, exceptional account action. Ratings = verified runs; auto-suspend on reports/failure/security.

1. What “marketplace” means here

CueVanta’s free-tier marketplace is a catalog and governance surface for discovering and using published Cues at no charge. It is not a paid store, app store billing system, or commission market.

These Rules do not claim that public CONNECT is live. Execution is available only for Cues that auto-approved after automated checks, under free quotas Operator enables. Published Cues are available under free quotas as Operator enables.

2. Listing requirements (non-human publication)

Publication is automated. There is no human first-publication review queue.

To be publishable, a Cue version must:

  1. Pass automated schema/validation checks Operator publishes;
  2. Include accurate title, summary, version, license, permissions, and categories;
  3. Pass automated security scan and sandbox/test gates;
  4. Be auto-approved by the pipeline — or, on any failure or policy hit, be auto-rejected or quarantined (fail closed; safe submission formats only under the free-tier / cost ceiling);
  5. Comply with AUP and Contributor Agreement.

Arbitrary or unsafe executable packages that cannot be validated in the automated sandbox are not accepted. Language here does not imply a human will review what automation cannot safely clear.

Owner-reserved (human): policies, prohibited categories, emergency shutdown, exceptional account action — not routine approve/reject of listings.

3. Ownership and licensing display

Each published version must show its license (default CueVanta Free Public Grant v0; Operator-enabled SPDX optional later) and contributor/display name. Misleading “official” or trademark-confusing names may be rejected or renamed.

4. Categories and discovery

Operator may define categories, ranking, search, and featured slots. Featured placement is editorial and free—not paid promotion (no ads marketplace in these policies).

5. Ratings and feedback

Ratings must reflect verified runs (successful authenticated executions recorded by the Service), not unaudited opinion alone. Fake reviews, brigading, or incentivized sentiment that violates FTC endorsement principles (if incentives are ever offered) is prohibited. Automated systems may hide abusive feedback and auto-suspend listings or accounts on abuse reports, repeated run failures, or security signals.

6. Quotas and fairness

Free quotas, rate limits, and fair-use caps apply to discovery and execution. Operator may prioritize reliability and abuse control over equal throughput.

7. Prohibited listings

Same categories as AUP, plus: Cues that require payment off-platform as a condition of basic advertised function in a deceptive way; Cues that phish for CueVanta credentials; Cues that claim unauthorized third-party product integrations.

8. Platform and owner rights

Automated systems may refuse publish (reject/quarantine), require resubmission after fixes, suspend listings, unpublish versions, revoke allowlists, or freeze discovery. Owner may update policies/prohibited categories, order emergency shutdown, and take exceptional account action.

9. No payments

Contributors and users shall not use CueVanta channels to invoice each other for Cue access under these Rules.
